Parnu, Estonia's Summer City

Parnu comes to life in the summer, so all the posters and brochures say.  Lots of music events around the town and in the huge concert hall, and sporting events, on the beach, in the stadium and on the water.  Today though the beach was decidedly quiet, not surprising with the very cold wind coming off the water.

A few pics to give you a flavour of the town

Firstly breakfast at the Louna Hostel and they had made a bowl of porridge especially for me!
The Tallinn Gates, part of the city ramparts.

A chilly day for the beach but give it another month or so and the holiday makers will be there!

Decked areas like this are all along the river side just waiting for the crowds and the sun.

Parnu's large and modern concert hall.

The Red Tower, the oldest building in Parnu, was a gaol and used to hold city archives.

Shame it's not looked after as an attraction.

Just some of the older buildings in town.

Just to keep my hand in with the coffee and cakes!!

A bit of reflection off the display cabinet but an awesome cake selection!!

Time to post this, shower and maybe get today's piece done.
