Heidi having just flown back from Florida on the 28th kindly drove to Aalborg to meet me . Chicken soup about to go on the stove.
Bike is still in many pieces in the back of her car.
Much of my wait in Copenhagen was spent putting a presentation I had been 'volunteered' to give to some folk from the Danish Cycle Federation about the North Sea Cycle Route, a piece had gone into the local newspaper advertising the 'show' and a couple from the Thisted Community Parkinson's Group also came along.
On the 31st prior to the talk Heidi had an appointment with some friends to visit an art / music workshop venue catering for psychiatric patients. The Doctor who bought and set up the place is now well into his eighties and is funding the place almost on his own. Moves are being investigated to come up with a strategy to increase the use of the place as a bunkhouse, art gallery where local artists can show their work and if eventually funding for equipment could be found possibly a small recording studio; it would be a shame if the facility fell into decline.
The place even has a resident cat |
