Thursday, Friday, Saturday oh how the days fly by!!

Stuffed myself at breakfast and made two extra rolls to do me for lunch, Continental type grazing meals are great for that sort of thing!

Away from the hostel and its hoard of school kids around 0830; armed with new maps I was following the Ostseeradweg.  The route went right by the hostel and picked up a bike path heading out of town.  Cafes and snack bars were gearing up to cater for their customers and one I passed (too early for coffee and cake) was belting out Rhinestone Cowboy - ear worm for the day!!

Lots of elderly Nordic Walkers out on the trails, sticks flailing about; some actually seemed to know what they were doing!

View from the Ostseeradweg of the strand and the Ostsee.

Rather than rent a deck chair, here it's rent a huge wicker two-seater windshield.  The route passes through several small seaside resorts like Geinitzstein.

It was too impressive a hotel not to take a photo!

This one a little less impressive but the milkman left two beers!!

The ground was a bit grotty but it got the evening sun and the early morning sun!

That's it, the morning sunshine ideal for packing the gear up.

Occasionally the route cut across country, undulating ground through corn, barley or rape, huge fields with a few trees dotted around.  The bike path is in better nick that the road!

Well the fruit is healthy and the beer's got lemon in it and apart from that it was lunch time.

The marble door of St Nikolai Kirche in Wismar.  Another "Hanseatic" Town with some fantastic buildings.

These little guys were one on each corner of a bridge.

I couldn't think why the pigs till I read that the bridge crossed the Grube or Schweins Brucke.

Weberstrase, just a wee cobbled street leading off ABC-Strase.

The Rathaus and Marktplatz.

The Heiligen-Geist-Kirche.

Same church but the other ornate buildings are really something!

Marienkirchturm.  The Church Tower of St Mary.  80 metres high, the church was damaged in WW2 and demolished in 1960, it was reputed to be one of the most beautiful brick churches in Northern Germany.  The clock faces are 5 metres in diameter.

No special note, just a cracking looking building.

Off to the hostel now, see if I can get a bed!

Saturday morning, bike loading time.  All these other guys arrived Friday evening and are all heading towards Rostock, opposite way to me!

A murky sky looking out across Wismar Bucht.

Lots of Poppies by the field edges.

Some riders having a break by the sea.

It's all right, they're blueberries in the middle and they are good for you!!

I think it might have ben renovated somewhat.

The village church at Harkensee.

On my way to get the ferry from Priwall over to Travemunde.  Had intended taking two days to get here, that's what Lemon beer and blueberries do for you!!

I think that's m ferry somewhere in the middle of the water.

On the ferry to Travemunde, the liner is the Braemar.

Nearly across, all I've got to do now is find somewhere to stay.

Found it, have eaten and am off to bed or it will be breakfast before I've got my head down.
